Parent Volunteers!
Northwest Lacrosse Sharpshooters is fully run by volunteers to provide the opportunity for kids to play lacrosse in the Flathead Valley. The Board of Directors puts in many hours months before the season starts to put it all together, but we need YOU to volunteer your time too to keep the sport active and growing!
Ways you can volunteer:
1. Coach! Almost ALL coaches started out not knowing the sport of lacrosse and watched many Youtube videos and went to training and now are excellent coaches coaching the 5/6 and 7/8 levels! Coaching the first and second graders is a great way to start!
2. Learn to keep score! Each game requires a scorekeeper from each team. There are videos to watch to learn and also many people who have learned how to score and can teach you also!
3. Get trained to officiate! Each game requires 1-2 officials to be able to play the game. Officiating is a paid position! Each year new officials take on the task to allow for games to happen!
4. Be a team parent to assist the coach as needed!
5. Help out at the Northwest Shootout! This is our only home tournament we host and it is a big event that requires many helpers!
6. Uniforms-Planning/organizing uniform numbers and distributing uniforms is a big task and needs your help!
7. Ask what you can do to help! :)
