A Summer of fun and opportunity

With the start of Summer,

there's a part of us that wants to keep the momentum of the season going. Many of us jet off to visit family, vacations, or continue on with Club opportunities. There are many more that get to revel in the freedom and open schedules of summer break.

Here at NorthWest Lacrosse,

we embody a growth mindset of "Well, Better, How". What did we do WELL. What could we do BETTER. and HOW do we achieve that? Well, HOW do we provide growth in the off season?

Monday Evenings Starting July 13th - August 17th 5:30-8:30

This summer we are facilitating CO-ED Pickup games for youth players.

No gear (sticks provided if you do not have one)

No contact (minimal checking for MS ages

No one ever grew by abandoning a skill until the next season arrived.

These games are free to the public

and a fun outlet during the summer to keep your skills intact and growing.

We opted for a co-ed version, as we have witnessed growth on both the girls' and boys' side from having to play with the opposite. No contact and minimal checking require a player to home in their defensive skills and footwork without relying on and risk losing defensive positioning from checking or heavy body contact. The more aggressive nature of the boys' games is a great tool for girls moving up into the more physical and check able platform as they age.
